Shanti Whitney was born in the small town of Santa Maria. Shanti’s interest in filmmaking developed as she grew up in her small town community. Determined to find individuals like herself to with the same interest in filmmaking, she attended film school in the central coast. After successfully finding a small film community, in an even smaller town, Shanti and her collegues decided to create a feature film, one that she would produce in 2008 entitled “T.V.: The Movie”.
After fulfilling her temporary goals in the film community, she knew that this was just the beginning. From her time there she continued working on short films and corporate commercials.
Soon, it was apparent to Shanti that she would have to move to Los Angeles to better pursue her dream to produce bigger projects in the film medium. After she moved to Los Angeles, Shanti today has production coordinated another feature film (Untitled Cordero Horror Feature 2015), produced several music videos for platinum recording artists, produced corporate commercials, produced web series and short films.
In 2018, Shanti produced a feature film entitled “THUNDERS” which explores the final days of Johnny Thunders, the movie is slated to be released in 2018.
Shanti Whitney continues to produce in the film industry currently in Los Angeles.
